The owner of a Sutton gun dealership has surrendered his license to sell firearms in an agreement announced Wednesday by the Massachusetts Attorney General's Office.
Anthony Martinello's business, Martinello Quality Firearms, sold Glock handguns without load indicators or magazine safety disconnects as required by state gun regulations, according to Attorney General Maura Healey's office.
An investigation from the attorney general's office found that transactions from January 2014 and April 2016 involved illegal Glock handguns.
Martinello agreed not to seek a license to sell guns for three years. The shop was located in Martinello's home at 8 Dakin Road in Sutton.
Just last month, Worcester gun shop The Gun Parlor was fined $25,000 for selling handguns that weren't listed on the state's approved roster and Glocks that don't meet the state's safety regulations. The attorney general's office said in that case that The Gun Parlor would not need to pay the fine if it complies with the settlement for two years by ending sales of guns not permitted to be sold in the state, among other stipulations.
