Survey: Networking Is Most Effective Job Search Tool

Networking is the most useful tool in a job seeker's tool box, according to results of a Challenger, Gray & Christmas survey.

Challenger, an international outplacement firm, asked human resources managers to rank the most effective job search methods. Respondents ranked online networking second to in-person networking.

Perhaps not surprising, survey-takers said responding to newspaper classified ads and attending job fairs were the least effective means of searching for a job.
