Survey: Execs Plan Biz Growth Without Hiring

Executives say they are concerned about their ability to find the talent they need to fill positions when they begin hiring again, according to a Robert Half survey.

The survey found that 9 percent of executives plan to hire professional-level employees in the third quarter, while 6 percent anticipate laying off employees.

Almost half of respondents said they don't plan on hiring in the next three months, but 83 percent said they are confident that their organizations will grow during the quarter.

The legal field is expected to do the most hiring this summer, along with the transportation and business services sectors.

Robert Half is an international job placement agency. It puts out its Professional Employment Report quarterly.
