Despite the recession, most colleges and universities met their enrollment goals for the fall semester, according to the results of a survey by Concord-based Maguire Associates.
Maguire, an education consulting firm, surveyed 380 senior college and university administrators and four out of five said their schools had met or exceeded enrollment goals set during the last school year.
However, 22 percent of respondents said their schools saw enrollment losses for the semester. The losses were concentrated in smaller, private institutions.
