An economic recovery is underway, according to the optimistic results of a survey by Tatum LLC, a Texas executive services firm with an office in Waltham.
Tatum’s survey predicts business conditions for the coming two months. In the survey earlier this month, most of the survey’s indicators showed gains.
The exception was capital expenditures, which typically lag the other indexes by a month or two, the firm explained. Employment, order backlogs and financing conditions were all positive.
“The bottom has definitely occurred,” the firm said. Traction for the recovery will depend on employment and the availability of financing.
