Wayland-based human resources software developer Softscape Inc. has been acquired by SumTotal Systems Inc. of Mountain View, Calif. for an undisclosed sum.
Together, the companies will serve more than 1,800 customers and 25 million individual users around the world, SumTotal said in a statement.
The products developed and sold by each company share similar technology and architecture.
By acquiring Softscape, which has about 200 employees, most in Central Massachusetts, SumTotal will boost its employee count to more than 700. The company has offices around the world.
