Methods Machine Tools Inc., a Sudbury supplier of machine tools, accessories and other parts, has appointed a new president and board director.
Jerry Rex, who was the chief operating officer, is now president. The longtime president, Bryon Deysher, is now executive director of the company's board.
Rex, who serves on the board of the Association For Manufacturing Technology, took over the new responsibilities on April 1, the company announced Wednesday.
Deysher chose Rex as his successor, and the transition and been long planned, the company said in a statement.
Scott McIver, the chairman and third-generation owner of Methods Machine Tools, praised both executives.
"We could not be happier to have Jerry and Bryon working together for the future of Methods and our machine tool partner/suppliers and customers," he said.
Methods Machine Tools has six locations in the United States in addition to its Sudbury headquarters.
This story has been changed to reflect corrections to a description of Methods Machine Tools and a board on which Rex serves.
