A Jersey Mike’s Subs eatery will open its first Massachusetts location in Marlborough this April and bring with it a campaign to benefit a local food bank.
The sub shop known for its fresh sliced and grilled subs will open on April 6 at 42 Boston Post Road West. To coincide with the opening, 3,000 coupons will be distributed for a free regular sub along with a minimum $2 donation to the Marlborough Community Cupboard.
Franchise owners are Mohegan Holding Company, LLC of the Mohegan Tribe. This location is the first of the Mohegan Tribe’s Jersey Mike’s restaurants in Massachusetts. Other locations include Meriden, Norwich and Mohegan Sun in Connecticut, with plans to open ten additional locations in Connecticut, Rhode Island and the southern section of Worcester County, according to Mohegan.
Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s has 1,500 restaurants open or under development nationwide.
