Starting this fall, students at Mount Wachusett Community College in Gardner will be able to get a bachelor’s degree in business from Nichols College without leaving the Mount.
A new “A to B” agreement between the colleges allows students to be jointly admitted to MWCC and Nichols. Those in the program will earn an associate’s degree in business at the Mount and then take a third year of business classes there.
After that, they can transfer the credits to Nichols College and complete their bachelor’s degree in one year. Even in the fourth year, students won’t necessarily have to go to the Nichols campus in Dudley. They can choose to study under Nichols professors on the MWCC campus or through Nichols’ online program instead.
The program is similar to a previously announced partnership between Nichols and Quinsigamond Community College in Worcester.
