TJX Cos. of Framingham said it finished July with $1.4 billion in sales, an increase of 6 percent over the $1.3 billion it reported for July 2007.
The company said it saw $9 billion in sales during the first six months of the year, a 7 percent increase over the $8.5 billion reported for the same period last year.
Same store sales increased for July increased by 3 percent over the previous year.
The company said it expects second quarter earnings between 21 percent and 24 greater than those reported for last year.
TJX operates TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, A.J. Wright and Bob’s Stores among others.
