Westborough accounting firm Stowe & Degon has merged with a North Shore firm as it moves further into the Greater Boston region.
The merger with Lynnfield-based Croyle & Associates PC was the result of a search spanning several years and considering several other firms in different regions throughout the state, Stowe & Degon said in a press release.
The merged firm will still be called Stowe & Degon.
Croyle & Associates, however, fit the bill, as it's 15 minutes outside of Boston. Marty Croyle, president and founder of the firm, will join Stowe & Degon as a partner.
“Known for its robust tax practice and excellent reputation working with lower middle-market companies, Croyle & Associates' services and professionalism will provide convenient, seamless access to tax, audit and compliance solutions for Stowe & Degon's expanding North Shore client base,” Stowe & Degon said in a statement.
The merger is the second in four years for Stow & Degon. With the first coming in 2016 with Milford-based Caplice, Ciaramicoli & Doyle.
