Karl Storz Endoscopy-America Inc. has moved logistics operations from Charlton to Southbridge.
Storz is a division of Karl Storz GmbH & Co. KG of Germany. The company said the space at 15 Wells St. in Southbridge allows for the expansion and upgrading of its warehouse and distribution operations within North America.
The new logistics center is 47,000 square feet, almost twice the size of the Charlton facility. It was completely renovated to allow the company to keep its warehousing, customer fulfillment and instrument repair operations in one location.
Storz said the facility will enable the company to ship product more rapidly and operate more efficiently. The facility also includes an equipment reprocessing center.
