Q. What challenges do you see in your new position?

A. There are two main challenges. Consumers are demanding constant access to video content; so, our external challenge is to personalize video delivery across TVs, PCs and mobile devices at the same time as allowing our customers to monetize their video content. Internally, I need to drive innovation to rapidly evolve new services at a time when technology is constantly changing.

Q. What's your favorite thing about Central Massachusetts?

A. I love baseball, so the Worcester Tornadoes are my favorite thing in Central Massachusetts. Watching a ball game in a small stadium is a great way to spend the afternoon/evening with the family.

Q. How close is this to what you imagined in high school you'd end up doing?
A. When I took my first computer class in high school, I knew that I wanted to write software. Although it's been a while since I actually wrote code, I still stay close to the technology.

Q. How far is your commute to the office?

A. Thirty to 35 minutes depending on how bad the solar glare is on Route 2.

Q. What could local and state governments do to make things better for your business?
A. Reduce waste to close the deficit gap so consumers gain confidence to increase spending.

Q. What's the best way to keep your energy and motivation up when you're having a long day?
A. At lunch time I go for a three- to four-mile run. This helps me relieve the stress from the morning and energize myself for the afternoon.

Q. Where's the best place to get lunch near your new location?
A. Since I'm Italian, I love Il Forno, which I can walk to from the office.

Q. Do you have any hobbies outside of work?
A. I like doing anything outside, including camping, hiking, nature photography, etc. My goal is to visit every National Park in the United States (I still have quite a few to go).

Q. What's on your to-do list for the next couple of days?
A. Define my goals/responsibilities so our software groups quickly see how technology can provide value to their business. In other words, say what I plan to do and then dive in and get it done.
