Innofiber, a supplier and manufacturer of fiber-optic cables and related equipment has appointed Dustin Gorman as its CEO.

Gorman joins Innofiber from Canton-based electronics manufacturer Prodrive Technologies Inc.,  where he was general manager for Prodrive Technologies North America, according to an Innofiber press release from Jan. 12.

Prior to Prodrive, Gorman spent nine years at Peabody-based Analogic Corp., a healthcare and security technology company serving the medical sector, as director of business development and application engineer.

Gorman is a United States Marine Corps veteran.

"I am thrilled to be joining the Innofiber team. Thanks to Innofiber's commitment to innovative technology, lean manufacturing practices, and the leadership of the management team, the company is poised to scale to meet the needs of its customers and further its leadership in engineered photonic solutions,” said Gorman in the press release.

Innofiber rebranded from Fiberoptic Components LLC in December, unveiling a new logo and website. The company operates out of its 18,000-square-foot headquarters in Sterling.

The company didn’t return requests for comment about who Gorman is replacing as CEO or if the position is newly created. When the company was named Fiberoptic Components, its president was Lawrence Kosiba, who is still with the company in that role, according to his LinkedIn profile.
