State Tax Revenue Up in November

Massachusetts tax revenue collections for November were up 7.3 percent, or $89 million, from the same time last year, the state Department of Revenue reported. Preliminary revenue collections for the month totaled $1.32 billion.

So far in FY08, the state has collected $7.29 billion, 4.5 percent more than for the same period last year. In October, the Executive Office for Administration and Finance adjusted its FY08 full-year collection estimate upward, from $19.82 billion to $20.23 billion, and collections are now on pace to exceed that higher number.
