Gov. Deval Patrick’s administration has named a former Boston development official to head the Massachusetts Office of Small Business and Entrepreneurship .
Andre Porter, the former deputy director for Boston’s Office of Business Development, will help advocate for and deliver resources to small businesses in the state. Over the next few weeks, Porter will hold small business town meetings around the state to talk to small business owners about their needs.
