State seeks $54M for road work

The state bond commission is expected next week to approve about $54 million in spending on road resurfacing projects, ranging from one-tenth of a mile to more than six miles each in dozens of towns across the state. About $12.3 million is planned for road resurfacing in Central Connecticut, including portions of I-84 in Manchester and Route 190 in Enfield. In all, some 180 miles of roadways have repairs scheduled.
