The Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission has approved a cannabis retail shop in Millis and a cultivation facility in Fitchburg.
The board signed off on both projects among others this week, bringing more operators to the state's growing adult-use marijuana market.
CommCan Inc. got final approval to open a retail shop at 1525 Main St. in Millis after state regulators inspected the site in August. CommCan, which also operates a medical-use-only cannabis dispensary in Southborough, didn't provide an exact opening date.
In Fitchburg, Native Sun Wellness Inc. received provisional approval for a growing facility at 140 Industrial Road. The facility will span 30,000 to 40,000 square feet, according to the company's application.
Native Sun Wellness has a provisional license to operate a cannabis shop in Hudson. The company said it can be operational within a year of the provisional approval, according to its application.
