On Wednesday, The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce announced 12 startup companies who have been selected to participate in the 2021-2022 StartUp Worcester cohort.
This year’s winners include: A Sneakerhead’s Paradise; Barn Owl Technologies; Cat in the Box LLC; Munq LLC; Penny Wise PPE Protection; Reach; Routi; Spicy Water Distillery; Sympal, Inc.; TaqHawk, Inc.; Urban Spice World LLC; and X Therapeutics, Inc.
A joint initiative of The Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce, The Venture Forum, and WorcLab, StartUp Worcester is a business incubator designed to help launch new businesses and provide physical workspaces for the region’s entrepreneurs. This initiative seeks to retain graduates of the area’s colleges and universities, according to the release.
Selected companies receive full-year memberships to all three organizations (Worcester chamber, Venture Forum, and WorcLab) valued at more than $14,000. Participants will also have access to entrepreneurial mentors from SCORE, an entrepreneurship service of the U.S. Small Business Administration.
