Framingham-based Staples rebranded its business to business division in an effort to streamline purchasing.
The newly rebranded division will be known as Staples Business Advantage and will include both a new ordering system and a 67,000 square foot Workplace Experience Center in Englewood, New Jersey. This center will serve as a showcase for smarter workspace solutions, from high-tech, touch-free restrooms to cool cafés and a collaborative furniture design, according to Staples.
In addition to the rebranding, Staples has also added Staples Easy System that will allow business customers to order supplies on any device by any employee. The new system, which is currently in testing, also gets smarter over time, remembering past orders and anticipating customer needs.
This rebranding comes as Staples continue to pursue a merger deal with Office Depot. This includes a recent move to appease the Federal Trade Commission by selling off $550 million in commercial contracts for $22.5 million.
