Framingham office supply retailer Staples, Inc. has put out a call for products or services from entrepreneurs and small businesses owners, with the possibility of those products ending up on store shelves.
The company announced Tuesday its second-annual Breakthrough Project will accept submissions through Aug. 11. The company is seeking products or services aimed at supporting learning for students in kindergarten through eighth grade.
Certain products will be presented to buyers, who can select the products to be carried in Staples stores.
“Some of the most innovative products we now carry in our stores were brought to our merchant team by small businesses and entrepreneurs as a result of our first-annual Breakthrough Project in the fall of last year,” Brian Coupland, senior vice president of retail merchandising, Staples US Retail, said in the release.
The categories for the products include tutoring, virtual reality, kids furniture, and learning tools. More information and an application is available online.
