Staples Looks To Russia With Office Supplies

Framingham-based Staples has formed an alliance with a Russian office products company.
As part of the agreement, Staples and Pragmatic Express Ltd. of Moscow will work together within Russia on international accounts and exchange best practices.
Staples can now service customers in 33 countries, with operations in 26 and strategic alliances in seven.
Pragmatic previously had an agreement with France's Lyreco, a business-to-business office supply company in Europe. However, that agreement was terminated in August, according to a press release announcing the Staples deal.
Pragmatic was founded in 1998 and has more than 700 employees.
