Staples launches new teacher reward program

Framingham office supply retailer Staples, Inc. on Tuesday announced a new way for parents to give back to their favorite teachers.
By using the Staples Connect app, people can accumulate Classroom Rewards dollars, which they are able to give to an enrolled teacher or school administrator of their choice.Teachers can then access those dollars through the Classroom Rewards app.
The apps remove the need to retain receipts, according to a release from the company, making it easier to support teachers.
The program was announced as the company continues to search for a new CEO, after Sandy Douglas left the private company in June.
