The Staples Foundation for Learning has awarded $287,875 in grants to nonprofits across the country, including six in Massachusetts.
In all, the foundation awarded 29 grants to organizations from the Northeast to Arizona.
In Central Massachusetts, the foundation awarded $25,000 to the Boys and Girls Club of MetroWest. The club intends to use the grant for computer training.
The foundation also awarded grants for career development programs in Boston, the Inner City Entrepreneurs program, which provides inner-city business owners with training, and to the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston.
The foundation was formed by the Framingham-based office supplies retailer in 2002 to support charities that focus on education and job training for disadvantaged youth. It has a long-standing relationship with the Boys and Girls Club.
