Staples Foundation Doles Out $2.5M In Grants

Staples Foundation, the nonprofit philanthropic arm of Framingham’s office retail giant, has awarded $2.5 million in grants to 112 non-profit organizations, including 60 in Massachusetts, and almost a dozen in Central Massachusetts.

Seventy percent of the funds given out by the foundation will be used to support education and literacy. Some of the local recipients include: The Advanced Math & Science Academy Charter School Foundation; the Ashland Education Foundation; Ayer Education Foundation; Boys & Girls Clubs of Middlesex County and MetroWest; Franklin Education Foundation; Quinsigamond Community College; Shrewsbury Education Foundation; Westborough Education Foundation; Westborough Special Needs Parents Advisory Council and the Worcester Community Action Council.
