The Staples Foundation for Learning has awarded $640,000 in grants to youth development programs across the country, including four in Massachusetts.
The foundation, a private organization created by Framingham-based office supply retailer Staples Inc., said the 31 grants for nonprofit organizations that serve at-risk youth will help promote teaching and training.
Among the recipients are Bottom Line, a Jamaica Plain-based organization that helps disadvantaged students through college and a Girl Scouts of Eastern Massachusetts mentoring program that provides educational opportunities to underserved girls.
