Staples Dividend Remains Flat

Framingham-based office retail giant Staples Inc. has kept its quarterly dividend even at $0.09 per share for the third quarter.
The company's dividend has been constant since March when it increased the dividend by 9 percent from $0.0825 to $0.09 per share.
The company reported an increase in profit to about $130 million during the second quarter of the year, an almost 40 percent jump, even though sales remained relatively flat at $5.5 billion.
Staples had $24 billion in sales in 2009 and has about 91,000 store workers in 26 countries.
