Framingham office supply company Staples, Inc. announced Tuesday its board of directors elected Robert E. Sulentic as its new chairman.
Sulentic is the president and CEO of Los Angeles real estate firm CBRE Group, Inc. and has served on the Staples board since 2007. He is the board’s lead independent director, as its current chairman is former CEO Ron Sargent.
Sulentic will take over for Sargent on Sunday. Sargent is retiring from the company and relinquished his CEO position to Shira Goodman in June.
