St. V's, Union Reach Agreement

Saint Vincent Hospital and the union representing 475 food workers at the Worcester facility have reached agreement on a three-year contract, according to a statement from the hospital.
Members of Local 1445 of the United Food and Commercial Workers union overwhelmingly ratified terms of a new contract Saturday after three months of negotiations.
In a joint statement, Doug Belanger of the local and Saint Vincent President and CEO Erik Wexler said the agreement "represents a fair and equitable settlement" for the two sides. No other details about the contract were released. Officials from both the union and hospital did not respond to requests for additional information today.
