Saint Vincent Medical Group, the doctors group owned by Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester, on Wednesday announced expansions at offices in Worcester and Northborough, and the move of its primary care office in Auburn.
According to a statement from Practice Development Manager Cheryl Forbes, the family medicine practice at 826 Southbridge St. in Auburn will move into a former McDonald’s Restaurant space across the street in November. The move will double physical the size of the practice, allowing for more primary care and the addition of specialty services there.
In addition, primary care offices at 102 Shore Dr. in Worcester will grow into an adjacent space, adding exam rooms by wintertime, and the group’s newly-opened Northborough Crossing multi-specialty office has expanded with more primary care services, as well as new offerings, including cardiology; weight loss; general surgery; pain medicine and laboratory services; obstetrics and gynecology; and cosmetic Botox. This brings the 9,500 square-foot office, which has been about one-third occupied, to full occupancy.
Several physicians are joining Saint Vincent Medical Group as part of the expansions. The group is the fifth largest physician group in Central Massachusetts, with around 80 doctors.
