The Southbridge Innovation Center, a mixed-use development located in Southbridge, will be the official flagship location for the Massachusetts Municipal Police Training Center (MPTC).
The Municipal Police Training Center will utilize the second floor of the Southbridge Hotel and Conference Center, which features 36,000 sq. ft. of classroom space that can accommodate up to 1,500 people. That makes the Southbridge site the largest Municipal Police Training Center in Central Mass.
The training center will have 14 classrooms, 20 break rooms, and a full library, per the release. The amenities of the state-of-art facility include food service, lodging and a health club to support the MPTC’s training program.
The Innovation Center comprises 14 buildings, including the Southbridge Hotel & Conference Center, located on 150 acres with 1.2 million sq. ft. of space, according to the announcement Tuesday.
