Southborough-based pharmaceutical security firm Pharmorx has changed its name to Convectra.
The company said the name change comes as it expands into industries other than the pharmaceutical industry that face similar threats, such as cosmetics, beverages, electronics, sporting equipment and luxury goods.
The five-year-old company specializes in anti-counterfeiting systems that involve serialization, authentication and tracking.
Convectra will introduce its new name during an anti-counterfeiting conference being held this week in New York.
