A New Jersey-based real estate investment firm has purchased a Southborough office building for $9.2 million.
Deed records indicate that Curo Southborough LLC bought the building at 120 Turnpike Rd. Dec. 5 from The Realty Associates Fund VI LP, an affiliate of Boston-based TA Associates Realty.
Steven Cox, director of Curo Southborough, said he was attracted to the building since all 82,924 square feet of space are occupied by Autonomy, a subsidiary of Hewlett-Packard.
Cox had been looking to purchase the building since July. He said the Class B+ office building is in very good condition and won’t need repairs.
Cox said the Southborough purchase is part of an effort to expand his presence in the Greater Boston area due to the strength of the market.
The other building in the Southborough Office Park, an 80,401-square-foot complex at 118 Turnpike Rd., is also for sale and is being marketed by NAI Hunneman. Cox “can’t say at this point” whether he’s interested in that building.
