Southborough Firm Teams For Product Security
Southborough-based supply chain security firm Pharmorx Security has struck a partnership with MSO Group of Belfast, Ireland, and Sun Chemical, an international printing ink manufacturer.
The partnership will offer an integrated approach to the tracking and tracing of products using web-based databases and other packaging features. The partnership will offer its system to pharmaceutical, tobacco, cosmetic and consumer goods firms.
The system is designed to fight counterfeiting and diversion, as well as cut down on returns. Suppliers will be able to track their products from distributor to wholesaler to retailer, and in some cases, to the consumer.
MSO and Sun technology is used for counterfeit detection. Pharmorx technology specializes in the serialization, tracking, tracing and identification of products in the supply chain.
