Southborough-based builder Kendall Homes aims to build 50 new three-bedroom homes off of Salisbury Street in Worcester on a development site left unfinished in the 1980’s.
The developer is proposing to build the homes at 790 Salisbury St., on 18 acres of land subdivided from a lot owned by the Salisbury Green Condominium Trust, according to a preliminary site plan application submitted by attorney Mark Borenstein of Worcester law firm Bowditch & Dewey. Each home will feature a driveway and two-car garage.
Salisbury Green was initially permitted in 1985 for 39 townhouse buildings and 229 single family attached dwelling units. Construction stalled out in the 1980’s at 13 townhouse buildings, 94 single-family attached dwelling units, and one detached single-family home, according to the application.
A public meeting and hearing on the application will be held by the Worcester Planning Board on Wednesday.
The development would be approximately a quarter-mile from an approved 123-unit proposed senior living community, The Arbella at Bramble Hill at 757 Salisbury St.
So zero of these would be affordable, right?
