Solicitors keep nearly 70 percent of donations

Paid charitable phone solicitors passed on only 32.79 percent of funds raised to the nonprofit organizations that hired them, according to the state’s Attorney General Richard Blumenthal and Department of Consumer Protection Commissioner Jerry Farrell Jr. That percentage is one of the lowest in decades for the industry.
