Hopkinton solar installer Solect Energy had a record-breaking 2016, completing 115 sites and installing more than 26 megawatts of total solar output, the company said Wednesday.
It is the state’s largest commercial-scale solar provider, with 57 megawatts of commercial-scale installations, Solect said.
The company started in 2009 as a three-person operation and has grown to a staff of 60. It also uses another 200-plus installers and contractors throughout Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Solect’s 2016 projects include Chacharone Properties at 220 Brooks St. in Worcester. Other Worcester sites outfitted with solar panels from Solect include AmeriPride, O’Connell Fire Protection, Providence & Worcester Railroad, Discover Marble & Granite and Herlihy Insurance Group.
