Hopkinton-based Caliper Life Sciences Inc. continued its slow climb toward breaking even in 2007, posting a net loss of $24 million for the year, compared to a loss of $29 million the previous year.
For the fourth quarter, the company reported a net loss of $5.7 million compared to a net loss of $8.9 million in the fourth quarter of 2006.
Revenue for the year was $83 million compared to $69 million in 2006. Fourth quarter revenue was $28 million compared to $24 million in 2006.
Caliper, which makes equipment for medical diagnostic research using genetically modified mice, said it expects 2008 revenue between $142 million and $148 million.
