A mixed-use building in Worcester’s Canal District has been sold for $625,000 to a Millbury-based corporation.
The property at 19 Kelley Square contains a street-level store front, the site of a Che! Empanada location, with a residence located above the store. The property was sold to 19 Kelley Square LLC, according to Worcester District Registry of Deeds records. The deal closed on Friday.
19 Kelly Square LLC is based in Millbury and owned by John Mullen of Shrewsbury and Dan MacAdam of Boylston, according to corporate filings with the Massachusetts Secretary of the Commonwealth.
The property was sold by Dileo Properties LLC, a Shrewsbury corporation that has owned 19 Kelley Square since 2015, when it purchased the property for $277,500, according to City of Worcester property records.
The City gave the property a tax value assessment of $439,000 in 2023, according to city records.
Che! Empanada has been at the location since January 2021. An employee declined to comment on the sale when reached by WBJ via phone. The restaurant is run by Albie Alvarez-Cote and Roy Caceser.
