A Milford cultivator and provider of medical marijuana is planning a 7,800-square-foot expansion of its production facility.
Sira Naturals has filed an application to the Milford Zoning Board of Appeals for the expansion, which includes new greenhouse space in addition to its 25,000-square-foot production facility on Commercial Way.
The facility began cultivation procedure in August 2016, and products are sold at medical dispensaries in Cambridge, Somerville and Needham.
Milford voters passed a retail marijuana ban referendum last September, but amended that vote to allow Sira Naturals and another company to tap into the recreational market as long as products aren’t sold in the town.
