SimpliVity pens Latin America agreement

Westborough’s SimpliVity has signed a distribution agreement with Avnet, which will distribute the technology firm's products in the United States as well as in Latin America.
Under the agreement, SimpliVity's OmniStack Integrated Solutions with Lenovo System x and OmniStack for Cisco UCS will be available in Latin America. The company’s technology combines all IT infrastructure and data services -- including computing, storage, backup and replication -- to reduce IT costs and streamline operations.
According to Jim McKittrick, SimpliVity’s global account manager of applied computer solutions, this agreement will open additional sales channels and new markets while allowing SimpliVity to focus on service and delivery.
The financials of the agreement were not revealed by the private company.
