Siemens VAI Metal Technologies, which has operations in Worcester, has contracted with a Chinese steel company to manufacture three high-speed mini-finishing mills.
The contract will be commissioned late next year. The value was not disclosed.
Siemens will provide three of the finishing mills to Shanxi Zhongyang Iron and Steel Company Ltd. (ZISCO), a mining, steel-making and power generation company.
Some of the components for the contract will be made in Worcester, according to a Siemens spokeswoman.
