Siemens Announces 3rd Contract In 2 Weeks
Siemens VAI Metals Technologies said it will supply a Chinese steelmaker with a wire rod mill that will help expand annual production by more than 30 percent.
The customer is Wiyuan Iron & Steel Co., located in Sichuan Province. The project is expected to start in the spring.
Siemens, which has a facility in Worcester, announced two contracts last week, both with other Chinese customers.
The company did not disclose the dollar values of the contracts.
