The Eunice Kennedy Shriver Center at the University of Massachusetts Medical School has been awarded a contract to provide a system that manages online training programs for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, the medical school announced.
A unit within Commonwealth Medicine, the medical school’s public service consulting and operations division, the Shriver Center has been developing and hosting online courses and learning management for two decades. It will partner with Pennsylvania-based Adept Consulting Services to design and implement the system to manage all online training offered through the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services’ Office of Developmental Programs.
The contract involves simplifying a network of more than 650 online trainings across 11 platforms into a single learning-management system that integrates support, course organization and accessibility for trainees, the medical school said.
“UMass Medical School is looking forward to working with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to design a system that better manages its online training catalog and makes it more accessible,” Joyce A. Murphy, executive vice chancellor of Commonwealth Medicine, said in a statement.
