Piercing Emporium & Tattoo in Worcester is moving to a new 3,000-square-foot location at 205 Shrewsbury St., according to the owner, Marc Williams.
Williams said he hopes to increase business through the new location’s larger size and increased visibility. Williams employees 10 people and plans on hiring two additional employees at the current location at 400 Shrewsbury St., which is about half the size of the future location.
Limited access to parking motivated the move, according to Williams. The new location, which Williams purchased for $400,000, will have nine parking spaces including one handicap spot.
Piercing Emporium & Tattoo has been operating in Worcester for 21 years. The new location is scheduled to open the first weekend of May or June, depending on construction.
