The Harr Motor Group has purchased Bancroft Chrysler Jeep ‘s assets, and is moving the cars and trucks off Bancroft’s lot and to a new Harr Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership at its 100-120 Gold Star Blvd. complex.
Harr recenly completed a multi-million dollar renovation at its Dodge, Toyota, Ford and Scion dealerships on Gold Star.
According to Harr spokesman Alan Berman, the Bancroft building on Shrewsbury Street “will not be an auto company” once Bancroft is cleaned out.
“It’ll be something else,” he said. What that something else is remains to be seen, however. The building is owned by Edward, Jonathan and Lawrence Glick of Worcester and is two months into a three-year lease with the Bertera family of auto dealerships. Bertera operates a Nissan dealership in Auburn.
The Glick family founded Bancroft Motors in Worcester in 1939.
