Shrewsbury-based IT firm Swiftec IT Inc. has merged with TrekMicro LLC, also of Shrewsbury.
The combined company will retain the Swiftec name and will be based at Swiftec’s offices at 745 Main St. in Shrewsbury.
Swiftec moved to the 2,500-square-foot Shrewsbury location from Northborough in October, tripling its space in the process. The company said TrekMicro “reached a point where it needs an administrative staff as well as additional technical resources.”
The company provides IT and help desk services to small-and medium-size businesses. It has acquired five companies in the last five years.
Financial terms of the merger were not disclosed.
