A New York City investment firm has purchased the 250-unit Quinn 35 apartment complex at Lakeway Commons in Shrewsbury for $77 million.
According to online records with the Worcester District Registry of Deeds, Bluerock Capital Markets LLC closed on the transaction Friday. The firm is doing business BR Quinn35 DST.
The property along Route 9 was sold by Texas-based Criterion Development Partners, which also has properties in Cambridge and Medford.
According to its website, Bluerock has transacted more than 9 million square feet of real estate since its inception in 2002.
The 375,000-square-foot Lakeway Commons project at the former Spag’s site, developed by Framingham-based Grossman Development Group, began construction in June 2016. The plaza includes Whole Foods, Starbucks, Tavern in the Square, Burton’s Grill, Qdoba Mexican Eats, Vision Works and other retail and restaurant tenants.
The Quinn 35 apartments and first stores opened in fall 2017.
