Shoppers World, a shopping center on the border of Framingham and Natick, has been sold for $187,126,272 to an LLC managed by Urban Edge Properties, a large New York-based real estate investment company.
The seller was BRE DDR Shoppers World, an LLC based in Delaware. The sale was part of a larger deal that also saw Urban Edge buy the Gateway Center, a commercial property in Everett that is host to a number of big box stores, according to the company’s earning report that was released on Tuesday.
The sale also included 19 Flutie Pass and 1391 Worcester Road, two parcels that are utilized for park and ride commuter parking. The deal includes a total of over 110 acres of property.
In 2016, BRE had previously attempted to develop 19 Flutie Pass into a large entertainment center that would have included a restaurant, bowling alley, and indoor skydiving center, according to planning documents on the town of Framingham’s website.
Urban Edge currently owns 76 properties totaling 17.2 million-square-feet of gross leasable area across the East Coast, according to the company’s website.
