Leicester nonprofit ARCHway will merge under the umbrella of the Worcester nonprofit Seven Hills Foundation on April 1.
ARCHway is a service provider for adults with developmental disabilities and behavioral challenges. The nonprofit employs over 40 people in two program sites, which include residential services. ARCHway had $5,120,761 in annual revenue in 2020, the most recent data available on the nonprofit financials website GuideStar.
The acquisition by Seven Hills, the largest human services organization in Central. Massachusetts, will provide stability for ARCHway’s programs, according to a Tuesday press release from Seven Hills. When two nonprofits merger or one acquires the other, they typically call it an affiliation.
“This affiliation will ensure the long-term viability of the vital services that we provide to vulnerable ARCHway adults and families in Central Massachusetts,” Sonya Abdien, president and CEO of ARCHway, said in the press release. “Seven Hills Foundation, which is highly respected in the region and in our profession, will ensure that ARCHway, Inc.’s mission is fulfilled well into the future by leveraging the support and success of our new partner.”
Seven Hills Foundation, headquartered in Worcester, employs nearly 5,000 people and operates program sites at 226 locations in New England. The foundation reported $263 million in assets and $303 million in revenue as of June 30, 2021, according to data provided to the WBJ Research Department.
